If you are familiar with edocr.com, you may have seen the top of edocr.com home page going through changes over the last few months. The attempt is to get a single clarified message out. Whilst we have significantly improved the message it is not quite there yet. Let's quickly analyse what is there right now.

edocr.com is a document publishing, distribution and interactive platform. We are one of the dozen of companies who launched similar products over the last three years. If we break edocr.com to basics, edocr.com is about

At this simplistic level, what is edocr.com? We help you make your documents work harder. Given that our focus is to help businesses increase their revenues, we streamlined the message to "make your documents work harder for your business" (please note the credits for this strap line goes to long-time edocr.com user, Katrina Delargy, CEO of Tiyga.com, a tech startup in the North West of England).

Another edocr.com user, David Hawdale, an usability expert (also the founder of Recycle Local, another tech startup in the North West of England), came up with the design concept, which involves, three further messages.

Ask yourself, where do you store all your external documents? How many of these are available to the public? We know from experience through engagement of edocr community that very few companies if any, make all their external documents publicly available. This is mainly due to not having the ability to do it, rather than due to the lack of desire. This problem becomes a thing of the past with edocr.com. There are no restrictions on how many documents you could upload to edocr.com. Just select the account to meet your requirements.

Marketable

Your documents can immediately be shared, embedded and distributed to over 50 services including Facebook & Twitter by anyone.

Websites are not designed with documents in mind. In most cases, they appear as clickable text links or pdf icons. There are no facilities for sharing documents nor for anyone else to embed them elsewhere or distribute easily. These are some of the standard features of edocr.com. Ability to distribute over 50 largest social networks in the world easily is a compelling proposition for anyone who is keen to utilise documents to generate sales leads.
