Sanoodi is the global online and mobile platform for people, groups and communities that want to share their adventures. It connects people, places, groups and small businesses that share a passion for a wide range of A to B activities such as running, cycling, sailing, and skiing. Sanoodi's vision is to build the world's leading platform for publishing and sharing content on the web and whilst on the move.
History

Sanoodi was founded in Wales in 2007 by serial entrepreneurs Rhys Jones and Dyfan Williams, with the first version of the site released in the Spring of 2007. Since then, the site has grown rapidly with over 50,000 routes and 15000 users in over 80 countries across the world. The new site launched in August 2008 has added a range of free mobile applications and now allows users to edit their routes, select which map they want to set their route against and set up groups and events, add Points of Interest, the list is pretty long!!
What does it mean?

Dyfan came up with the name Sanoodi shortened from the French ca nous dit, "we really feel like doing".

Yes, it is free! Everyone can join Sanoodi for free and download and use our range of Mobile Applications. All you need to create an account is your email address, a password and a unique username. If you don't find your friends or favourite sports club, on the site, make sure to invite them on board.
People

Sanoodi is a fun place to stay up to date and in touch with your favourite activities as well as your friends and family. People use Sanoodi for all sorts of reasons; to share their routes, to find good things to do near to them and to meet like minded people. .
Mobile

SMap is our range of free route recording and sharing applications for GPS equipped mobiles. SMap is available in a number of tasty versions:

Privacy

Your privacy really is important to us. In a shortly forthcoming release, Sanoodi will let you keep control over who sees your routes. All users will have three options: display to everyone, display only to your Sanoodi friends and members of groups that you belong to or - display to no one but you. Your privacy settings can be changed at any stage by clicking on "Privacy Settings" in your profile. We will not be passing on your personal details to third parties.
Groups and Clubs

If you are a member of a group or club Sanoodi can help you increase public awareness and engage supporters and volunteers. On Sanoodi, groups are able to upload information about themselves , what they do and where they do it. You can create and share routes and events with your network, and communicate instantly with your group members and the wider Sanoodi community.
Business

If your business shares our communities' passion for outdoor activities Sanoodi is an excellent way for you to engage with both new and existing customers. Businesses that support outdoor activities can join Sanoodi for free, no hassle, just provide us with your details and you can join. We call businesses on the Sanoodi platform – hubs. We believe that hubs are an integral part of the Sanoodi community. So, if you love what you do, join us, set up your profile page and get your own routes up on the site, participate with other users and let your content spread the message to a committed community of users.

If you do want to advertise your presence on the site, we do have a small but perfectly formed selection of “hubspots” that are made visible on key pages of the site determined by activity type and location.
