NWDA AGM Event Monitoring

I think it is very sad that a development agency representing the best counties in the UK has not got to grips with new technology and can't even use a twitter stream to promote itself. They don't seem to grasp that the world is moving on without them. The event should have been livestreamed with its own backchannel. This can be done just through a laptop. There is no excuse. Bandwidth and data transfer can be afforded by little voluntary orgs like ours, so one with the resources of the NWDA cannot use that as an excuse. Also free wifi for delegates is also a must these days. Charging for it is bad. If you want to engage with people you have to make it easy. The days have gone when people can sit in ivory towers. The people are about to have their day, their say, and there is nothing can stop it now. Power to the People of the North West. The greatest place on Earth. Once we get ubiquitous broadband there will be no stopping us. Industry and business will make it the capital of the UK. Not sad old London with its obsolete copper network. We will have fibre. And we will be the ones competing in the global village. chris
