The BBN events were developed to accelerate the development of young and growing hi-technology companies and regularly attract between 100-150 decision-makers from the science and technology community in the region. This includes a wide range of high-technology companies (in sectors such as Digital/ICT, Biomedical, Advanced Engineering, Energy and Environmental technologies). These companies sit at the core of our network and are complemented by organisations that add real value to this community. Such organisations include the North West Regional Development Agency (NWDA), regional Universities, UKTI, Business Link, the Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC), the investor community (both angels and funds) and representatives from the professional community.
Under a new initiative for 2008, Daresbury Science & Innovation Campus is providing an opportunity for companies to sponsor their monthly Business Breakfast Network (BBN) events. Regular attendees to the BBN events cite them as the embodiment of a successful networking event, held in an excellent venue, at a convenient location (to North West based businesses), with the right mixture of length and style of presentation and a ‘one nation’ attitude to delegates.
