In June 2007 I travelled with my elderly mum to western Ukraine, to visit the village where she was born. She was moved out from there in 1940 at the age of 7, given two hours' notice by the Russian army and started an epic voyage around the world. This was her first return home in 67 years.
I have written this book as an account for my family, and it is now printed in hardback and in (very limited) circulation.
