Blogging has come a long way since the early 2000's. Far from being just an online diary for early adopters, blogs have now become a mass media tool - an everyday way for millions of people to express themselves, publish their opinions and communicate with each other.

This presents many challenges for business. What happens if they are talking about you or your brand? How do you respond to what these people are saying? When and where do you respond? How can you measure all these conversations?

Data Protection - Interactive Workshop

There have been a number of high profile news stories in recent months which have highlighted the need for organisations to fully understand and adhere to the Data Protection Act.

The two most notable cases have involved British Gas and Humberside Police. Both organisations were registered with the Information Commissioner but both were accused of being over zealous in their interpretation of the act. As a result of these cases a number of reviews are currently underway which will hopefully result in the avoidance of similar future events.
