The Start-up Software Company - How to avoid becoming Road Kill

Most new businesses have to overcome huge difficulties in establishing themselves in the market place. If you intend to set up a software business you will probably face more problems than most. You will be asking to replace a trusted way of processing data and your new technology will be regarded as suspect. Just competing on price, even if you can, does not work. My view is that to compete as a start-up you should follow the now famous “crossing the chasm” model. I personally reckon there are three main stages all based on differentiation then superiority.

UK Software Marketer's Survey Findings

In July 2007, I presented these findings from my online survey with UK software marketers to a BASDA conference in London. The survey uncovers where and how they are spending their marketing budgets. Would you like a peek inside? As a direct response copywriter working with software marketers my job is to help you improve your marketing ROI and increase revenues. Use this information to guide your marketing choices. And if you'd like to talk about your marketing plans, contact me via my website at www.hightechcopywriter.com

What Value in Social Network Sites?

Social networking sites can be useful, but for most I think they offer a very poor return on the time you invest in them! In recent years we’ve seen the arrival of all sorts of “social networking” sites on the Internet. They seem to attract huge numbers, especially amongst the young and those who sell their products and services over the net....read the whole article on http://www.bosstoboss.com/newsletter/default.aspx?enumber=4.

14-Point Web Copy Analysis

Instead of using a typical “Internet marketing” sales letter, I wanted to let you behind
the scenes of a letter that has nothing to do with making money. You’ll see how
powerful this formula work in all situations. To illustrate this – I’ve used Get Fit
While You Sit as an example. (You may want to pull up the whole letter so you can
see how it all flows together.)
I’ve also provided you with audio commentary so you can listen to more in-depth
information on each part of the formula and analysis of this winning sales letter.

7 Psychological Secrets Report

Just imagine what it would be like if you had the power write a few words and motivate, influence and persuade people to do just about anything you wanted? I have found the subject of persuasion endlessly fascinated. It never ceases to amaze me that I can write words on paper (or the computer screen) and then have people send me money.

Increase Sales with EIPP Part 2: Cross-Selling and Website Traffic

Although we sometimes forget it, it is much more cost-effective to sell products and services to
existing clients than it is to spend money on acquiring new ones. Part 1 of ‘Increase Sales with EIPP’
looked at how Electronic Invoicing Presentment and Payment (EIPP) provides an ideal platform for
you to start getting more out of your existing customer base by improving communication and
building longer, more rewarding relationships. Part 1 showed that by using relationship marketing
techniques during the EIPP process you can open up a new, frequent communication channel:
