Introduction to the Tea Leaf Trust

The Tea Leaf Trust was set-up in January 2008 to alleviate poverty and provide opportunities to the tea-picking regions of Sri Lanka. Through establishing community centres that are accessible from tea estates and the surrounding farmland, the Tea Leaf Trust will deliver a raft of projects including English, I.T and Vocational Training to enable the most impoverished to find employment in trainee/ junior management roles.

The “Api Wenuwen Api Fund” is a collaboration between The Ministry of Defence and the Central Bank of Sri Lanka to build 50,000 houses for the serving Tri-Service personnel. The gift of housing is one of the best and most tangible ways to demonstrate our gratitude and appreciation to those who are defending our country against terrorism. As part of the fund raising campaign, three cultural shows are planned for this month, these being:
