Robert Leggett – Founder and Managing Director - Omni Resource Management Solutions Over a decade after launching Omni, Robert Leggett is a hand’s on Managing Director that’s as enthusiastic about the growth and development of the business and his team as ever... It’s through Robert’s vision and determination that Omni is currently the UK’s leading Recruitment Process Outsourcer and Recruitment Transformation Consultancy. He started the business at the age of 26 with a £30K bank facility and a desire to change the way recruitment was managed in the UK. Over a decade later he’s as enthusiastic about the business as ever and takes a very hand’s on role as Omni’s Managing Director. It was Robert’s early career at American Airlines and his subsequent foray into recruitment which shaped his view that if you are good enough and want something enough no one should hold you back from achieving great results. When he’s not coming up with new ideas to achieve better results for current and future clients or working on ways to give the team a better work life balance, Robert loves spending time with his family and escaping to his second home in Portugal.

The outsourcing of administratively intensive HR functions is not new, and for some areas such as payroll and benefits management it is the norm rather than the exception. The outsourcing of recruitment is now following this trend, with more and more organisations seriously considering whether they should work with a professional recruitment service provider. It’s not an easy decision however, to “handover” recruitment to another organisation, and not all recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) contracts result in the success anticipated when the project was started.
