How to Study the Bible
 
Andy serves as an associate pastor at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge in central New Jersey where he oversees a vibrant junior high ministry. In 2009 he published his first book, Learn to Study the Bible: Forty Different Step-By-Step Methods to Help You Discover, Apply and Enjoy God's Word. His greatest desire is to equip and inspire God's people to dig into the Scriptures and begin comprehending and applying the richness of His Word into their daily lives.

The goal of teen and youth group Bible study should be to develop a love and understanding of God’s word. He messages of His word will help young people to navigate the confusing world of today with lessons that will teach them how to love and revere God. Young people can show their love of God by following John 5:3 and joyfully obeying his commands.

With the right attitude and motivation you can have successful daily devotions that bring you closer to God and help you to develop your relationship with Him. When you begin your time with God make sure you have the right attitude. Along with the right attitude you will need quiet time and a place where you can reflect without the interruptions of life.

Daily devotions are an important part of understanding God’s word and finding a personal relationship with Him. If you want to have meaningful daily devotions you will need to develop a plan or some kind of outline to follow for your devotion quiet time. The plan should be simple and help you to develop your relationship with God.

Understanding every passage you read and the meaning it holds for your life can be quite a challenge, however. Rest assured that God has a message for your life with every passage and in every scripture, but it is your job to study the Bible and determine this meaning for yourself.
