This is Ray Moore's autobiography. Born in China, interned by the Japanese, booted out by the Communists, he arrived in Australia to start a new life.

Born in China into a missionary family, Ray was a fugitive from 'The Long March' before he was a year old, and later was evicted from China at the age of 16 when the Communist Party eventually libeerated China. Meanwhile he was sent to the Chefoo Boarding School which was interened by the Japanese from 1941 to 1945. Ray and his family live in Australia, but it has not always been so. He was born in China and, as a child was interned in a Japanese Concentration Camp. Coming to Australia at the age of 16, he suffered from culture shock and finally ran away from home.
