Amit Rajani, MMS (2010-12) has won the Budget Ace Competiton organised by Ernst & Young and the Financial Express. As a part of the competion he was required to write an article expressing his views on the Union Budget 2011-12.

The students of Welingkar carried the day yet again. Welingkar teams of PGDM E-biz 10-12 students have won the First Prize in Qimpro B-plan Contest. The event was incorporated with understanding the Product, Creating Business and Presentation. Fundamentally, the topics were such that one should have the presence of mind as well as intense knowledge about business management and interrelated topics to win. As, Welingkar students have always been on top of the ladder, it was evident that they will win this contest. They have been selected for the Role of Board of Advisers for 12 months.

Students of Welingkar College succeed to win 2nd place at 'Shankhnaad 2011' at IIT Madras campus held on the 1st April, 2011.The event comprised of two rounds from which second round was presentation on a detailed road map to execution, viability of the idea and socio-economic impact of the idea. Presenting on such an out of the ordinary topic was a fascinating experience for them. They managed to win through, in spite of the strong contenders involved, like IIM Shillong, JBIMS, NMIMS and WeSchool, Mumbai. The jury and the audience were thoroughly impressed with their presentation style.

The Business Design students have won the 1st place at 'All India Welingkar-Infosys Innovation awards 2011' at WeSchool, Bangalore campus. The second round when they won engaged 'Co-creating innovative solutions for Indian rural Healthcare' which call for immense creativity skills to carry such a challenging task. The entire exercise was of ideating, collating ideas and then prototyping. There were 15 teams shortlisted in total all over India. Some of them were from top B-schools like National Institute of Design, IIM Raipur, WE School Bangalore, etc.

Students of Welingkar Institute of Research and Management win at various events organized by different B-schools in India. They have been successful to meet their goals with conscious efforts and by applying their capabilities. Some of the events were regarding photography, Advertising, media, business, movie making, marketing, etc which require a lots of creativity skills to be the victor. The competitors were from well-known institutes like Alliance Business School, Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, etc.

Students of Welingkar Institute of Management and Research were awarded the FIRST PLACE at the Mind2Market Competition held by the Indian School of Business (ISB). From over 100 entries received, 12 teams were shortlisted for 1st round and the teams were from India’s well-known B-schools. The most significant thing was when Mr. Krishna Tanku asked the students of Welingkar that if he finances their project would they be willing to execute it from tomorrow.

Welingkar students achieve success and win awards in various competitions held across diverse field's, under the guidance of Mrs. Deepa Dixit, Dr. Uday Salunkhe and Prof. Kaustubh Dhargalkar.
