Text extraction added for all published documents July 9, 2015 With our site upgrade earlier this week, edocr is now extracting all of the text out of every document published on our site and attaching it as a layer under the document that can be toggled by the reader. This content will allow viewers of published documents to access the text content of uploaded documents, facilitating screen readers and other assistive technologies. As an added bonus, this content can be more readily crawled and indexed by search engines, further enhancing the value of published documents as every word will now be searchable online. The team at edocr want our publishers to receive maximum value from their document content , and this is another big way we are doing that. Questions, comments & suggestions always welcome at our help desk . Until next time!
