$10-Billion Retail Gift Industry Receives Significant Boost As CGTA
Announces Major Expansion For Canada’s Largest Trade Show
Gift Show to deliver expanded exhibits, offerings and services for retail buyers
TORONTO, Ontario – The Board of The Canadian Gift and Tableware Association
(CGTA), the pre-eminent organization comprising leading manufacturers, importers,
exporters, distributors and wholesalers, today announced plans for the expansion of the
CGTA Gift Show beginning January, 2008. Currently the second largest trade gift show in
North America, this expansion will utilize the recently announced new North building at
Toronto Congress Centre to offer an unprecedented forum for the Canadian giftware
industry. In addition to increased exhibit space, the CGTA Gift Show will also feature
expanded programs and support services designed to reinforce the show as the premier
destination for retail buyers and innovative products from around the world.
The CGTA Gift Show currently occupies over one million square feet of exhibit space and
with this expansion will see an increase by approximately 30 per cent. TradeShow Week,
the voice of the exhibit industry, ranks The CGTA Gift Show as the number one trade show
in Canada and one of the most significant gift shows in North America. For the 1,100
exhibitors and over 27, 000 retail buyers who attend the show, the expansion program adds
vital strength to the giftware industry and delivers an expanded platform that is the
