Victoria’s Children’s Choir
The Victoria Children’s Choir will perform songs honouring Remembrance Day. (Nov. 11, 12:30 & 1:30)
Research military history
Historian Paul Ferguson will show visitors how to find information about the military history of friends
and family members who served in the First and Second World Wars, including details of casualties,
honours and awards. Bring materials related to allied services (medals, insignia, uniforms or
photographs) and Ferguson will offer more information about the objects. (Nov. 8 and 9, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Women of War
This display by Saanich resident Colin McIntosh includes framed biographies and photographs of some 25
servicewomen – many of whom were spies or served in resistance operations. (Nov. 5 – 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Western Command Military Vehicles Historical Society
On display is a full WW2 desert encampment, complete with tents, cooking gear and collapsible bathtub.
Also from the society’s collection is a 1942 RCAF Willys MB military jeep. Visitors are invited to dress in
vintage uniforms and pose for a picture inside the vehicle. (Nov. 5 – 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Veterans Affairs Canada
Replicas of the National War Memorial and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier will be on display in the glass
lobby. (Nov. 5 – 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Trench Art
Soldiers have decorated wood
