NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
CONCERNING PROPOSED VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION
Notice is hereby given that public hearings will be held by the City Council of the City of
Mount Pleasant, Texas, in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 501 N. Madison, Mount
Pleasant, Texas at 6:00 P.M. on February 19, 2008 and at 6:00 P.M. on March 4, 2008,
for the purpose of considering annexation into the city limits of the following described
property:
NORTHWOOD/GRAND OAKS AREA
An area of approximately 41 acres located on the north side of CR 1312 approximately
700 feet west of its intersection with U.S. Hwy. 271 Business North and following
northeast through to the west side of U.S. Hwy. 271 Business North.
FUTURE MOUNT PLEASANT SENIOR COMMUNITY ADDITION
One tract of approximately 1 acre located on the east side of FM 2152 (Greenhill Road)
approximately 900 feet north of its intersection with Fareway Lane.
The City foresees no financial impact to Mount Pleasant I.S.D. or Harts Bluff I.S.D.
resulting from the proposed annexation.
All interested citizens and property owners are hereby notified of their right to appear and
be heard on the matter. Individuals who cannot attend one of the Public Hearings may
provide information in writing to:
