Ecological design and consulting firm Biohabitats to help the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with
projects related to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, the largest multi-year, multi-agency
plan to restore the Great Lakes in U.S. history,

and consulting firms, was awarded an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract to help the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers (USACE) with its efforts related to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI). The largest
multi-year, multi-agency plan to restore the Great Lakes in U.S. history, the GLRI will address the region’s most
significant problems, including pollution, contamination and invasive species. President Obama approved $475
million for this initiative for 2010 alone.

approach of regenerating natural systems, the Corps can enhance the long-term ecological health and adaptability

The majority of Biohabitats’ work for this five-year, $12 million contract will be performed within the
boundaries of the USACE’s Buffalo, Detroit, and Chicago Districts.
Biohabitats’ team of subconsultants for this contract includes Ducks Unlimited, Environ International, EA
Science & Technology, Civil & Environmental Consultants, Camoin Associates, ASC Group, Stantec Consulting
Services, Planning Resources, and Short Elliott Hendrickson,
