Jackie Creamer
Outstanding at
the first hurdle!
Although Jackie Creamer was only
first registered in February 2009,
she received her outstanding
in August 2009! Ofsted said,
“the childminder provides a very
welcoming, child-friendly and
exceptionally well-organised
environment where children are
very happy and secure in her care”.
Jackie’s Top Tips are:
u Make sure that your SEF really
reflects your practice and all your
efforts.
u Be up to date and complete with
your paperwork.
u Show that you plan for each
individual child.
u Plan your day thoroughly, but be
flexible as the day unfolds.
u And most importantly be
yourself. If you are doing a
good job and your children and
parents are happy, they will see
that, and they will be happy
with you.

Jackie said that the inspector
was impressed by the amount
of first hand experiences
the children were getting –
harvesting fruit and vegetables
which they’ve grown and
collecting eggs from the hen
house. Jackie had also spent
considerable time completing
her SEF but felt this was time
