CAD/CAM AND CNC MACHINING TECHNOLOGIES
Design and Manufacturing
The course aims at providing participants with basic knowledge in design and
manufacturing of parts used in industry.
In this course, the participants will also be exposed to application of CNC technology
and CAD/CAM in part design and manufacturing.
On completion of the course, the participants should be able to:
· design the various types of components
· understand the various CAD/CAM and CNC processes
· understand the working principles of CNC vertical machining centre, CNC Turning
centre and how they are used in part making
· generate and verify the tool path and NC programs for mould manufacturing using
