Professional Translation (English to French)
This brand new track is intended to train outstanding professionals capable of fulfilling the crying need for English-to-
French translators and meeting current labour market requirements. In addition to translation expertise, these
perfectly bilingual students develop skills in writing and revision of written French and English, using the most recent
tools and computer technology. Moreover, their multimedia knowledge makes them competent, efficient resources to
update or translate your online texts.
Students in professional translation can thus play an active role in the translation of technical, specialized, adminis-
trative, journalistic, and even advertising texts. When they complete their education, these students will be going to
positions as writer-translators or translator-revisors. Moreover, this track allows them to obtain an equivalency
diploma from the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec.
