CED To Honor 25 N.C. Companies to Watch
State Treasurer Cowell to Celebrate Entrepreneurs Growing State Economy

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--CED, a private, nonprofit organization
that promotes entrepreneurial efforts in North Carolina, will hold its inaugural event celebrating North Carolina
Companies to Watch on September 23rd at the Raleigh Marriott City Center with State Treasurer Janet Cowell
providing the keynote address. CED, sponsors and businesses from across the state will honor 25 growth-stage
entrepreneurial companies that demonstrate high performance in the marketplace, exhibit innovative products or
display other unique qualities that make them “worth watching.”
In addition to the keynote address by the North Carolina State Treasurer, the evening event will be emceed by
WRAL-TV news anchor Gerald Owens, and will feature remarks from: Penny Lewandowski, Director of
Entrepreneurship Development, The Edward Lowe Foundation; Donald R. Reynolds, Attorney, Wyrick Robbins
Yates & Ponton LLP; Collin Hill, Senior Manager, Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, L.L.P., and Joan Siefert Rose,
President, CED.

North Carolina Companies to Watch is presented in partnership with the Edward Lowe Foundation and is made

new program, which will become an annual event, recognizes the impact that growth-stage, or second-stage,
entrepreneurial companies make on the marketplace and on the economy.
