Culmore Day Offers Multicultural Fun, Information
Culmore Multicultural Day, a tradition started more than 10 years ago, will be celebrated on
Sunday, April 26, 2009 from noon until 5 p.m. at Woodrow Wilson Library in Falls Church. The
celebration of the many ethnic communities in the Bailey’s Crossroads and Culmore area offers
the residents the chance to form strong multicultural community connections through
recreational activities. The program is supported by the Culmore Partners.
A variety of public and private sector groups both religious and secular, provide entertainment as
well as assistance in running the activities. Some of the activities include: soccer games, public
safety education, folklore dancing, live music, animal exhibits, youth skits, henna hand painting,
free gifts and more. Building a strong community is the goal.
Enjoy arts from Latin America, the Middle East, Vietnam, Pakistan, India and the Republic of
Somalia. Admission is free. For more information contact Ricardo Cabellos at 703-324-8730 of
