NORTH CAROLINA
REAL ESTATE COMMISSION
Approved Schools – Prelicensing and Postlicensing Courses
November 4, 2008
The schools listed below are approved by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission to
offer real estate prelicensing and postlicensing courses at the locations (cities) listed under the names
of the schools. Schools are listed alphabetically by type of school.
North Carolina issues only one type of real estate license – a broker license. The Broker
Prelicensing Course involves a minimum of 75 classroom hours. There are three 30 classroom hour
Postlicensing Courses that make up the 90-hour postlicensing education requirement. Most
approved schools offer both the prelicensing course and the postlicensing courses.
All prelicensing and postlicensing courses are available only as classroom courses in North
Carolina and are not available via distance education. Schools offer a variety of classroom schedules
for these courses. Interested persons should check with the school(s) in their area for specific
information regarding available courses and course schedules.
