Open the product box.
Take the Brother printer and its components such as Drum Unit Assembly, AC
power cord, telephone line cord, product registration sheet, accessory
order form, CD-ROMS, and user guide out of the box.
Now, unpack the printer completely.
Open the front cover of the printer. Unpack and install the drum unit assembly
into the printer.
Take the paper tray out of your printer. Load a stack of A4 paper in the tray and
place it back into the printer.
Make sure to release the scanner lock.
Now, connect the telephone line and power cord into your printer.
Once the printer turns ON, select your language if prompted.
Set the receive mode, LCD contrast, data & time, and the other preferences as
per your desire.
Once the printer’s physical setup process is completed, connect it to a computer.
After completing the entire printer setup process, perform a test print.
Setting up the wireless settings in infrastructure mode (Mac)
Turn on your Brother printer, wireless router, and the computer.
Press the Menu button on your printer’s control panel.
Select Network > WLAN > Setup Wizard > ON.
Press the OK button.
Now, a list of wireless networks available within your printer’s range will be
displayed on the screen.
Select your wireless network from the displayed list and enter its password.

SSID and enter your Wi-Fi credentials manually.
