investment bank, announced today the hiring of Doug Hurst as Partner in the firm’s Investment Banking Group.
Hurst will be based in New York and will be focused on the media, digital media, wireless, and satellite sectors.

Hurst is a 26-year veteran banker with extensive experience at bulge bracket firms such as Merrill Lynch, Salomon
Smith Barney and JPMorgan, where he spent a combined 17 years. For the past seven years, Hurst was senior
managing director of media, telecom and entertainment for SMH Capital, which merged with a boutique firm that he
co-founded in 2002.
