ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS'
Patient Station(s) shall be Alpha Communications®/Tektone IR251,
IR252, or approved equal. The patient station(s) shall include solid-
state circuitry, yellow "CALL-PLACED" indicator(s), and combina-
tion red "IN-USE" indicator and "RESET" button. Single patient
stations (IR251) shall include one 0.25" jack receptacle for patient's
call cord. Dual patient stations (IR252) shall include two jacks.
The IR251 and IR252 shall provide for connection of smoke detec-
tors, bath stations, and two bulb dome lights (LI382). The stations
shall provide signaling (via central equipment) to the appropriate
lamp(s) using the specific flash rate on the two bulbs dome light to
indicate priority levels.
The stations shall utilize a 2.50" x 2.50" speaker/microphone for
accurate voice reproduction. Removal of the call cord from the
receptacle shall result in placing an emergency level call at the master
station. The call can be reset only by replacing the call cord in its
receptacle. All station components shall be mounted on an attractive
flame retardant type ABS plastic faceplate. Connections shall be

IR252 Dual Patient Station
The IR251 single and IR252 dual patient stations are designed for
use with the NC205 Nurse Call System. They provide reliable
two way, hands free communication between patient and nurse.
The stations provide inputs for the connection of smoke detectors
and bath stations. These devices, when activated, will provide the
appropriate signalling to the two bulb light (LI382) that is also
connected to the IR251/IR252.
