POLITICAL COMMITTEES ESTABLISHED BY OR ON BEHALF OF A LOBBYIST
2009 REGULAR SESSION OF THE CONNECTICUT GENERAL ASSEMBLY
This list is issued by the Commission as required by the provisions of §9-610, General Statutes. It
contains the name of each political committee which has filed a certification with the State
Elections Enforcement Commission that it was established by or on behalf of a registered lobbyist
and includes those PACs that are affiliated with a communicator or client lobbyist as defined in
Section 1-91, General Statutes.
The committees appearing on this list are barred from soliciting and making political
contributions during the 2009 regular legislative session to or for the benefit of (1) candidate and
exploratory committees for statewide office and the General Assembly, including committees of
candidates who ran in previous elections for such offices, and which have deficits, and (2) other
political committees which appear on the list entitled “Prohibited Recipients List of Political
Committees.” Statewide office refers to the offices of Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of the
State, Treasurer, Comptroller and Attorney General.
Individuals who are registered lobbyists are similarly barred from soliciting and making political
contributions to or for these candidate and political committees. The Office of State Ethics
maintains a list of such individuals.
This ban applies from the opening of the regular legislative session on January 7, 2009 until
adjournment sine die on June 3, 2009. The ban is not applicable to candidates in a special election
to fill a vacancy in any legislative office or to candidates for federal or municipal office. (Please
