Citigroup Names Cece Stewart President of U.S.
Consumer and Commercial Banking
Will Howle Named Chief Operating Officer for U.S. Consumer and Commercial Banking

NEW YORK--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Citigroup announced today that Cecelia (“Cece”) Stewart has
been named President of U.S. Consumer and Commercial Banking, responsible for overseeing Citi’s U.S.-based
Retail Banking, Personal Banking and Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, and Small Business Banking
businesses. Stewart will report to Manuel Medina-Mora, Citi’s Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Banking for the
Americas. She will sit on Citi’s Global Consumer Banking Council when she joins in the next few months.
Stewart has more than 30 years of experience in the consumer banking industry. Most recently, she was President of
the Retail Banking Group and CEO at Morgan Stanley Private Bank, N.A., where she oversaw the development of
all consumer, commercial and wealth management products and services. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Stewart
held a number of senior banking positions at Wachovia. From 2003-2008, she was Executive Vice President and
Head of the Retail and Small Business Bank, overseeing all retail banking operations. During her tenure there,
Stewart’s work led to Wachovia’s consistent ranking as a leader in customer satisfaction and retention.
In addition, Will Howle will join Citi as Chief Operating Officer for U.S. Consumer and Commercial Banking,
reporting to Stewart. Howle has more than 20 years of experience in commercial banking, small business banking,
consumer banking, deposit services and trust services. Most recently, Howle was Managing Director and Head of
National Sales for Morgan Stanley’s Private Bank. Howle also served as COO of Wachovia’s Retail and Small
Business segments when Cece Stewart led those businesses.
