Florida Bar to the Grievance Committee for the
Eleventh Judicial Circuit

Marta Armas, Director of Professional Banking Services for Miami-Dade County, has been appointed by The
Florida Bar to the Grievance Committee for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Division 11E. The Florida Bar’s grievance
committees are composed of lawyers and non-lawyers who are responsible for continuing the investigation of
possible lawyer misconduct as referred by Bar discipline attorneys.
Marta’s banking career began at SunTrust Bank in 1972. She has held many leadership positions with BankAtlantic
over the past 21 years, and currently serves as the Director of Professional Banking from the Brickell Branch in
Miami. Marta is involved in many community organizations including the Board of Directors of the Greater Miami
Chamber of Commerce, the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Honorary Board, a Trustee Member of
CAMACOL, and Board of Directors of the Charlee Program. She also represents BankAtlantic at the Miami Dade
League of Cities. Marta has lived in Miami since 1960 when her family migrated from Cuba. She is married and has
two sons and two granddaughters.
