Hillsborough Organization for Progress and Equality
2020 Three Annual Processes
To Faithfully and Effectively Do Justice Ministry
The Three Annual Processes
1. During the Listening Process, Team Members strengthen relationships, identify stories related to community problems,
and build Justice Ministry Networks through one-to-one or small group conversations. At HOPE’s Convention, Justice
Ministry Network Members vote to prioritize problem areas & elect officers.
2. In the Research to Action Process, leaders do research and meet to identify solutions to problems, as well as continue to
build their Justice Ministry Networks. A Rally of Justice Ministry Network Members hears issue reports and prepares for
action. The Nehemiah Action unites our community to secure commitments from officials who have the authority to
implement the solutions.
3. During the Investment Drive Process, leaders tell the story of our justice ministry to build our capacity and financial
self-sufficiency by raising local funds. Leaders engage members and build relationships of mutual respect with local
business executives. The Justice Ministry Celebration celebrates our achievements, recognizes effective Justice
Ministry Network Members, and builds ownership for our justice ministry. Justice Ministry Network Members and others
are invited to invest at least $200 in our Justice Ministry.
