TOWN ADMINISTRATOR
As we enter into the second quarter of 2000, the
Board of Selectmen and I are finding ourselves very
busy with personnel issues. As a result of the SB2
election on March 14, we are currently recruiting
candidates for an MIS Administrator and a split-
shift Maintenance/Transfer Station Laborer.
Additionally, the search for an Assistant Planner will
begin in the near future.
“…. Wayne Bailey has been appointed Interim
Highway Agent until a permanent individual is
hired.”
With the resignation of Road Agent, Robert
Devlin, the Town had sought a replacement Road
Agent to fill the remaining year of his term, however
we were unsuccessful. A warrant article, passed by
the voters on March 14, sought approval to appoint
an expert highway agent, eliminating the residency
requirement and increasing our hiring options.
While our recruitment continues, Wayne Bailey has
been appointed as Interim Highway Agent until a
permanent individual is hired. Mr. Bailey also
maintains his duties as Transfer Station Manager.
Also looming in the next few months are
appointments to Town boards and committees.
Volunteer terms expire in June of each year, and
there will be appointments opening up on the
Zoning Board of Adjustm
