WALK/RUN FUNDRAISER

This fundraiser event will host 600+ virtual 
participants from the Greater Tampa Bay area. 
All proceeds will go toward early learning 
scholarships for 0-5 year old economically 
disadvantaged students who attend Rosa Valdez 
Early Learning Center & Lab School. This hybrid 
event also serves as a unity opportunity for the 
community and welcomes all families regardless 
of age or ability to participate.

Conn Memorial Foundation will match the donations for all new 
walkers and increased sponsors.

All economically disadvantaged children in our community will 
have access to nutritious food,quality safe early childhood care 
education and opportunities to connect to the sustaining love of 
Jesus Christ through a local church.

For over 120 years, Cornerstone Family Ministries 
has supported safe-spaces that provide high quality 
child care and enriching learning environments for 
economically disadvantaged children and families. 
Your contribution will provide early learning 
scholarships to the 15,000+ children we serve 
each year. 
Our goal is to raise $110,000 in early learning 
scholarship funds as we continue nurturing bodies, 
developing minds and fostering hope one child at 
a time.
DID YOU KNOW?
A quality full-day childcare program for an infant to 
preschool aged child costs between $7,500 - 
$10,000/ year.
Going to school and/or work is key to finding a 
successful pathway out of poverty. For all working 
parents childcare is essential, especially those living 
in poverty. Statistically children living in poverty start 
school 12-18 months behind their peers making early 
childhood education even more important. 
Unfortunately, once a parent earns more than $10/ 
hour, government childcare vouchers are no longer 
available. Thanks to this event, Cornerstone is able to 
provide sliding scale scholarships to keep these 
parents earning and learning while giving their 
children the very best early childhood education – 
setting the whole family on a path to a brighter future!
