Daily College Football Live Returns with Special Themed Weeks
Themes Include Top Newcomers, Exclusive Unveiling of Players on EA Sports Covers, Herbstreit QB Tour, Shows on Florida and Notre Dame,
and QB Roundtable Discussion
ESPN’s College Football Live -- a weekday afternoon studio show dedicated to college football
aired weekdays generally at 3:30 p.m. ET through the conclusion of the BCS National
Championship Game (January 7 on ABC) – will feature the addition of special week-long
themed topics to the daily analysis, news and interviews content leading to season kickoff.
The first week will feature four primetime episodes with three themed topics each day (Monday,
April 20, to Thursday, April 23 – time and network for each day below): a discussion on top
newcomers expected to replace key starters, the exclusive unveiling of the players featured on
EA Sports’ four different NCAA Football 2010 packages (one player each on Playstation 2, PSP,
Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 games) and a projection on where last year’s top 20 BCS teams will
finish this year.
Themes for upcoming weeks include (additional themes will be announced):
April 27 - A focus on the defending BCS National Champion Florida, including
conversations with quarterback Tim Tebow and head coach Urban Meyer, analysis of the
team’s offense and defense and a feature on Tebow’s workout.
May 4 - Kirk Herbstreit on the road to interview five of the top quarterbacks in 2009 -
Tim Tebow (Florida), Sam Bradford (Oklahoma), Colt McCoy (Texas), Jevan Snead
(Mississippi) and Terrelle Pryor (Ohio State).
May 11 - A focus on Notre Dame, including a conversation with head coach Charlie
Weis, a look at the offensive and defense and discussions of the 2009 schedule and
quarterback Jimmy Clausen’s career to date.
May 18 - A quarterback roundtable discussion with ESPN analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Jesse
Palmer and Brock Huard.
May 25 - A look back at the five best games of the 2008 season and the most anticipated
games for 2009.
