SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--For the third year, Ernst & Young LLP recognizes
CaseStack President and CEO Dan Sanker as an Entrepreneur of the Year award semi-finalist for the Greater Los
Angeles area. An independent judging panel comprised of regional business, academic and community leaders
selected the group of 34 semi-finalists.
The group of business leaders will be narrowed to finalists and announced in May, with winners revealed at a gala
event on Tuesday, June 22 at the Beverly Hilton.
In 1999, Sanker founded CaseStack, a leading logistics outsourcing business focused on providing innovative supply
chain solutions to consumer packaged goods companies. Sanker’s vision for CaseStack stemmed from his
background in finance and supply chain strategy. After recognizing that mid-sized suppliers have an increasingly
difficult time managing logistics expenses, Sanker designed CaseStack’s programs to provide optimized warehousing
and transportation for a fraction of the traditional cost. Those programs, including the successful retailer-driven
consolidation program, cut transportation costs between 20 percent and 60 percent and simultaneously increased
on-time performance by nearly 20 percent.
“I am honored to be among the group of accomplished and forward-thinking business people chosen for this
prestigious award,” said Sanker. “Any professional recognition I receive is truly a reflection of the innovative spirit of
each CaseStack employee.”
Now in its 24th year, the Entrepreneur of the Year awards program has expanded to recognize business leaders in
over 135 cities in 50 countries worldwide.Awards are given to business entrepreneurs who demonstrate
extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses
and communities.
