Appointment Scheduling For Sales Staff Made Easy

Are you running a business where you hire a lot of sales staff that comes to your
office daily, weekly, or just a couple of times each month? This can be a hassle to
schedule, especially if you have a big team of sales persons.
In the old days, and actually still today in a lot of offices, there is a manager who is hired
just to schedule the staff. They usually answer these questions:
- Who is coming today and when are they coming?
- Do we have enough staff to perform the tasks at hand?
- Who can we call in case we don't have enough?
- How many hours have each sales person worked this month?
This is a pretty hard task, but can be done with a lot of notes, calendars and phone calls to
each and every staff member. So is there an easier way to schedule big groups of people?
Yes, an appointment scheduling software can actually be used for this. It might sound
weird, but let me explain how to do it.
The regular way of using online scheduling is to set it up with staff members, and clients.
The clients make appointments with a member of the staff, the massage therapist, from his
home computer, or the staff schedules an appointment when a client makes a call.
So let's turn it around. Imagine that your staff are the clients that sits at home. The sales
computers are the staff or the "resources" that are bookable. Now your staff members can
sit at home, and make an appointment with a computer, for all the days that they want to
work. The manager can easily see how many people are coming in, and easily reduce his
workload with 50% or more.
And the best thing of all, with online appointment scheduling you can send reminders to
your staff by e-mail or text message the day before, so they won't miss their
"appointment", which is actually a time period that they are working. So at the end of each
month, the manager can easily print out a report of how much each sales staff worked, and
can use this to calculate the wages.
