Constitution of UCL Union Cheese Grater Magazine Society
Definitions
In this document:
‘College’ refers to University College London.
‘Union’ or ‘the Union’ refers to University College London Union.
‘Magazine’ refers to the Society magazine.
‘Pi’ refers to publications by the UCL Union Pi Magazine Society,
or renamed versions of that society or what has been heretofore its main
publication.
1.
Name
The name of the Society will be: UCL Union Cheese Grater Magazine Society.
2.
Editorship/Presidency
a. The President shall also be the Editor of the Magazine.
b. No-one shall be eligible to stand as President who has been elected as
an executive officer of the Union in the forthcoming academic year;
who is currently serving as an executive officer of the Union; or who is
standing for election as an executive officer of the Union.
c.
If the President wishes to stand for election as an executive officer of
the Union, they must both tender their resignation at least four weeks
before the close of nominations for executive elections, and ensure that
a replacement President has been elected at a General Meeting.
3.
Officers
The Officers of the Society in addition to the President and Treasurer shall be:

Contributing to the magazine, and overseeing

the content of part of it (at least a page in each
issue).

(Union Affairs)
Contributing to the research and composition of
material relating to news about relevant
students’ unions.
Secretary
Assisting the President in the everyday running
of the Society.
Webmaster
Running of the society website.
Graphics Editor
Responsible for creating appropriate graphics
for the Magazine and for securing cartoons for
each issue.
Distribution & Publicity Manager(s) Overseeing and carrying out effective
distribution of the Magazine and ensuring
publicity for each issue.
