The City of Concord will host the 12th Annual Tree
Lighting Ceremony Friday, November 20, from 6 - 8
p.m.
The ceremony will be held on Market Street in downtown Concord.
Join Santa Claus, the Mayor and City Council Members as we light the
City’s Christmas Tree.
Irvin Elementary School, Cox Mill Elementary School and Gary Gilmore will
perform during the ceremony.
Tree is lit at 6:30 p.m. by the Mayor, Council and Santa!
The public is invited to enjoy free Kid Zone with Santa’s Village, trackless
train, crafts, and visit with Santa Claus.
The trolley rides are from 6-7:30 p.m.
We hope to see you and your families at the ceremony as we kick off the
holiday season.

Cabarrus Events Association presents the
81st Concord Christmas Parade
Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2:30 PM
The parade starts at Church Street North at Lake Concord Road NE and ends
at Union Street South at Corbin Avenue SE/SW
Each year the parade committee selects a local Concord and or Cabarrus
County resident to honor for his or her service to the community.
This year’s Parade Marshal is Col. Hector H. Henry II, MD.

City offices will be closed on Thursday, November 26th and Friday,
November 27th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
