Mr. Braniff has 20 years of experience in construction management and construction
contract administration. He has served as resident engineer, project engineer, office
engineer, and inspector for the construction of Florida Department of Transportation
projects, which encompass heavy civil, highway, bridge, facility, and vertical
construction contracts.
Project Experience
Florida DOT, Homestead Extension, Bird Road Toll Plaza Expansion, Florida's
Turnpike, Miami, Florida. Served as resident engineer for construction of four new
toll plazas on the turnpike, two of which are ten lanes wide, along with roadway
construction; bridge construction; drainage, lighting and signalization construction.
Provided quality control and quality assurance for all phases of the project from bid and
award of the construction contract through project start-up, construction completion, and
project close-out. Prepared correspondence, negotiated change orders and prepared the
associated contract modifications, provided construction claims avoidance and analysis,
prepared value earned progress payments, and participated in project partnering
agreements. Acted as primary representative through disputes resolution hearing process.
