Spring 2003
CAROCP Futures
Message from the Prez…
Our State CAROCP President, Rick
Bogart's theme for this year has
been
"Navigating
Permanent
Whitewater". At the June 2002
Transition meeting in San Diego, he
gave the Chapter Presidents and
the State Board members a boat
paddle with those words engraved
on it. I came back to the office
and put it up on my bulletin board
as a reminder that although there
is rough water ahead, we will work
together as an ROP crew to be
successful.

During the past year, as always, our
San Diego County ROP team rose to
the
occasion
and met
those
challenges full on. All 22 Districts
continue to provide quality career-
technical programs for our students.
It has been a privilege and an honor
to
represent San Diego-Imperial
Counties at the State level. San
Diego is well respected by ROCP
leadership throughout the State.
Even though there may not be
smooth sailing ahead, remember, the
adventure is in the getting there!
Have a wonderful,
restful and
rejuvenating summer.
