The Deficit Reduction Act, signed into law earlier this year, contained significant changes to the TANF block
grant, Medicaid, child support and the child welfare entitlement. This presentation will focus on the state
implementation challenges and policy trends associated with TANF reauthorization and Medicaid reform, as
well as a discussion of the cross program implications for states.
