CITY SETS TAX LEVY
The Frazee City Council approved a preliminary tax
levy of $262,856, a 2.25% increase over last year’s
levy. The proposed levy will result in a projected
city tax rate of 63.53%, a reduction from last year’s
rate of 64.95%.
What does the tax rate mean? Simply put, if your
tax valuation from 2007 to 2008 stayed th e same
then your city taxes would decrease. For more
information on how your taxes are calculated,
check out the city website at www.frazeecity.com .
Watch for your Truth -in-Taxation statement coming
to your mailbo x in November.
