Eating Right to Fight Acne

You might not know it, but not eating certain foods can actually be damaging your skin and making
your current acne condition even worse. There are certain foods that have been shown to help
maintain the health of the skin and keep it nourished while also helping to repair any present damage.
Some of these foods include: Certain Oils, Fish and Beans.
Many of you many have already heard me carry on about how important some acids are for healthy
skin and how some of them play a major role with aging. Some of these acids are known as EFA's
(essential fatty acids) which are needed to maintain the pliability of our skin. Not adding these "good
fats" to our diets, such as the increasing in popularity Omega-3's, causes your skin to age and get
wrinkles way too soon. The majority of people are actually deficient in Omega-3 fatty acids.
One of the best sources of EFA'S is in the form of flax seed oil but is also found in other oils such as
coconut and borage. These can be used for cooking instead of other oils such as olive and sunflower
or they can be added to your diet via supplementation which is often the best way because heating
EFA's above a certain temperature actually damages the oils structure.
