Emergency Overview
Flammable, toxic, odourless high-pressure gas. Acts on blood, causing damage to central
nervous system. Can be fatal even with adequate oxygen. Can form explosive mixtures with
air. Harmful if inhaled. Self-contained breathing apparatus must be worn by rescue workers.
Under ambient conditions, this product is a colourless gas.

should be used as a guide in the control of health hazards and not as fine lines between safe and dangerous
concentrations.

dizziness, excitation rapid breathing, excess salivation, nausea, vomiting, hallucinations,
confusion, convulsions, and unconsciousness. With well established poisoning, the mucosal
surface will be bright red (cherry red) in colour. Lack of oxygen can cause death.
