Important Notice Regarding Alabama
Corporate/Partnership Signature Documents
Montgomery—The Alabama Department of Revenue (ADOR) advises that
effective immediately, tax preparers and tax practitioners are no longer required
to submit an electronic copy of the Form AL8453C, signature document, to the
ADOR when electronically filing Alabama corporate and partnership returns.
This policy change, however, does not affect the form requirement of the
AL8453C. The AL8453C must be completed and signed by all required
parties and retained by the tax preparer, along with a copy of the
electronically-filed return, for review by the ADOR.
The ADOR advises that tax preparers and tax practitioners will follow the
same procedures for the AL8453C as they currently do for the signature
document (Form AL8453) for Alabama individual electronically-filed returns.
For more information, contact the department’s Corporate Tax Section at
334.242.1200 or visit ADOR’s Web site at www.revenue.alabama.gov and e-mail
