This article is about NCSU’S Centennial
Campus. It should not be confused with the

Centennial Campus Middle School.
Centennial Campus is a technopolis and
one of the campuses of North Carolina State
University. Situated on 1,334 acres (5.4 km²)
in southwestern Raleigh, North Carolina,
USA, the campus, currently under develop-
ment, combines an advanced technological
community for the university with govern-
ment and industrial partner institutions. The
campus
features
residential
housing,
research and development centers, as well as
recreational amenities; a golf course and an
Alumni Center are part of the Centennial
Campus Master Plan. Situated near the cen-
ter of the plot is Lake Raleigh.
NCSU’s College of Textiles is based on
this campus and long-term plans have the
majority of the College of Engineering relo-
cating to the new campus. The offices of Red
Hat and the Raleigh branch of the National
Weather Service also call Centennial Campus
home.
