Newly designed vehicle will pop up across WNY throughout October
10.05.2009 – BUFFALO, NY – The new 2010 Ford Taurus is taking over Western
New York, literally. The WNY Ford Dealers recently launched a new marketing
campaign for the redesigned Taurus that will bring the car face-to-face with
consumers in places they would least expect. From a lavish display at Curtain Up to
floating in the fountain in downtown Buffalo’s Rotary Rink, the campaign and car
seek to deliver the message that the new Ford Taurus is completely unexpected.
“The all-new 2010 Ford Taurus is completely redesigned… it’s beyond sleek, smart
and stylish,” said Chuck Basil, WNY Ford Dealers. “It’s our goal to reintroduce the
vehicle to consumers, surprise them in unexpected places and drive home the point
that this Taurus will surpass drivers’ expectations. We invite WNYers to drive one
Throughout the month of October, the all-new 2010 Ford Taurus will pop up across
the region, including: Rotary Rink in downtown Buffalo; The Great Pumpkin Farm in
Clarence; Batavia Downs Casino; the Buffalo Zoo; and Rochester’s Blue Cross
Arena. And that’s not all. You might just see the Ford Taurus while getting your
morning coffee or strolling in your neighborhood park.
“This campaign is meant to make consumers stop and think… not only about where
they just saw the vehicle, but about the Ford Taurus itself. It’s all about reaching
them where they least expect it,” Basil added.
Consumers also will notice the new Ford Taurus on the I-190’s new digital
billboards. Consumers can expect customized, up-to-the-minute messaging touting
the car’s features as they relate to what’s happening locally. For example, when the
temperature drops overnight, a billboard message might talk about the car’s heated
seats. Or when rain is in the forecast, the message will change to talk about the
Taurus’ rain-sensing wipers.
