TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 8 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Systrends USA announces that
their Tariff software has been selected by ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM Interconnection and
another RTO as the Tariff management solution to comply with FERC Order No. 714.
Systrends' Web-based software, eTariff, manages the complex tariff documentation for
the Independent System Operator (ISO) and Regional Transmission Organizations
(RTOs). eTariff is compliant with the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB)
standard. This standard, which was four years in development, is the first national XML-
based standard required by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to
collect, manage, and distribute data in the energy industry. Systrends and the
RTOs/ISOs are working closely together to ensure they meet the FERC's April 2010
deadline.
"eTariff will enable the RTOs/ISOs to successfully manage and transmit their tariffs to FERC," said Systrends CEO David
Darnell. "We are pleased to be working with these RTOs/ISOs, their members, and all other affected parties to provide a
feature-rich, compliant solution. We are confident eTariff is the best-of-breed and will surpass our clients Tariff management
needs." Systrends' goal is to work closely with the market to ensure eTariff offers a robust and dynamic solution well in
advance of FERC's deadline. Systrends will offer versions of its eTariff software solution to the entire FERC-regulated
community, including electric utilities, natural gas pipelines and storage facilities, oil pipelines, and power marketers.
The four RTOs/ISOs operate power grids serving 89 million Americans, with installed generation exceeding 302,000
megawatts and over 122,000 miles of transmission lines.
