Driver Training Manager

To provide training, development and support to meet organisational needs and to help
ensure that the Fire Service has a safe competent workforce and complies with all relevant
legislative requirements surrounding the driving and operation of all types of vehicle
operated within Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.
To lead on programme development and maintenance/updating of materials and records.
Responsible for quality of delivery and appropriateness of driver training.
Take Responsibility for the leadership of the team and provide a positive
role model for both staff and the wider community in order to promote the
values of CF&RS.
Assess and or carry out examinations and of individuals driving ability and
driver training in line with relevant Driving Standards Agency
Manage the team through effective performance management, providing
feedback and support to staff with problems affecting their performance
and applying internal procedures where appropriate, to ensure optimum
performance in support of the delivery of Operational Training Group and
Function as part of the Resilience Unit Management Team to manage,
assess and evaluate work activities, the utilisation of resources and
develop proposals for improvement to facilitate objectives and ensure
continuous improvement of service provision.
