MARRIAGE IS A LIFE COMMITMENT
Marriage is a covenantal act between two persons, who, after a period of trust and intimacy, have
decided to commit themselves to each other “as long as life shall last.”
A COVENANT is a promise or contract which is elevated above everyday promises because it is
consciously made before and with God, the Creator and Sustainer of our lives. A wedding is a
religious ceremony and the Church over the centuries has declared the importance of that
