SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Edgewater Networks, Inc. announced today that they
have received the Core SPIFFY award from the Service Provider members of the Telecom Council of Silicon
Valley. The council honored 7 young telecom companies for their innovation, execution, management, and
technologies at the annual SPIFFY Awards last week in Palo Alto, California.
Members of the Service Provider Forum (SPIF) reviewed over 100+ start-up companies at local Telecom Council
meetings throughout 2009. Competition for these awards is fierce since all start-ups are screened by Telecom
Council Steering Committees before they are selected to present to the SPIF or other Telecom Council forum
meetings. Start-ups who present have been identified as having ideas, relevance, and traction that most appeal to our
carriers from around the globe.
“Edgewater Networks is an exciting company with products that address many of the security, quality of service and
monitoring issues that the Council’s 20+ global carrier members experience in their converged voice, video and data
networks,” said Liz Kerton, President of the Telecom Council.
